A two days one night fishing trip With Anglersfriend

The first day in a fishing trip is a day of anticipation. One can have a day of expectation, imaginations of seeing the sea full of fishes swimming around your boat and that your line is being tugged every minute. Well, sorry to disappoint you. That is not what is going to happen on the way. This is what you see in the pics here. Skipper Bong is at the helm of the boat, aptly called 'Angler's Friend', starting out from the Sarawak Boat Club. Bong has more than 10 years of navigating this part of the South China Sea and he is a great skipper, knowing every sandbar, every rocks and sunken trawlers or ships in the areas, avoiding them, whether in the daylight or night. It is great to be in the hands of a great skipper.

Just sit back and relax. Enjoy the sea breeze, while you put out your lines and rods. This is what I called an 'orang kaya' life style. No more worries about your office work. No stress. Just you and the big open sea and the blue skies. Relax lah!

Get your rods and lines ready. You can try trawling fishing method if you want but that can only be done if the boat is travelling at a slower speed, maybe at 5 knots or less.

Anyway, being the professional eye, I have a great time composing my fishing trip, creating great pictures of the rods, lines, water and skies with my Canon EOS 5D.

While the boat is travelling out, catch the sunset with your lenses if you are not catching anything with the hooks. This is another great pics of my 5D, a blueish hue effect of the sunset in the horizon.

Creating that special moment of anticipation of a catch coming up anytime. Pic of this one is taken at noon, with the sun high in the sky.

Another day of great sunset evening on the high seas.

Getting the rod, line ,sinker and bait ready during sunrise. Notice the sun coming up in the great blueish sky. That is a sign of a great day ahead.
